Installing Dream MRP from the Shopify App Store takes just a few minutes.
When you click Add app in the Shopify App Store, Dream MRP checks whether your store's email address already belongs to a Dream MRP account. Depending on the answer, you'll follow one of two paths:
Click Add app on the Dream MRP listing in the Shopify App Store. Shopify will redirect you to the Dream MRP authorisation page.
Dream MRP asks for permission to read your orders, products, and inventory. Approve the scopes to continue — Dream MRP only reads data it needs for planning.
Dream MRP looks up the email address on your Shopify store. If it finds an existing account, you'll choose what to do. If not, it starts the account creation flow.
Your Shopify store is connected to Dream MRP. Orders sync automatically, and you can begin building Bills of Materials and running MRP calculations.
If your Shopify store's email address doesn't match any existing Dream MRP account, you're offered the option to create a new organisation right there in the install flow.
Confirm your email, then enter the one-time verification code sent to your inbox along with your first and last name. Finish by choosing a password — no separate identity provider is required.
The verification code email can land in your spam or junk folder — check there if you don't see it within a few minutes.
Once your organisation is created, Shopify redirects you back to select a Dream MRP plan. Make sure the SKU limit covers however many inventory-tracked products your store holds, and decide whether you need minimum stock planning or forecasting.
Approve the Dream MRP charge to continue — you won't be billed until your trial period ends.
You can change plans at any time from your Dream MRP account settings if your needs grow.
If Dream MRP recognises your store's email address, you'll be shown a choice page before you sign in. You can see the email address that was matched, so you know exactly which account it belongs to.
You have two options: add the store as an integration to one of your existing Dream MRP organisations, or create a brand-new organisation billed separately through the Shopify App Store.
Your email address your@email.com already has at least one organisation in Dream MRP. How would you like to connect this Shopify store?
Choose this if you already use Dream MRP (with Xero or QuickBooks) and want to add this new Shopify store to the same organisation. The store's data — orders, products, inventory — will flow into your existing MRP setup.
If you have multiple Dream MRP organisations, make sure you select the correct one after signing in. The store connects to whichever organisation is active when you land on the Integrations page.
This option uses your existing subscription. No additional Shopify billing is created.
Choose this if you want to keep this Shopify store completely separate from your existing Dream MRP setup — for example, a second business, a different brand, or a store you manage for someone else.
A new Dream MRP organisation is created and billed through the Shopify App Store subscription. You can switch between organisations inside Dream MRP at any time.
Billing for this organisation is handled by Shopify. It appears as a recurring charge in your Shopify subscription billing.
Not sure whether to add to an existing organisation or create a new one? The table on the right covers the most common scenarios.
If you're still unsure, the safest starting point is usually add to existing — you can always move to a separate organisation later.
Check your spam or junk folder first. If you still can't find it, restart the install from the Shopify App Store to trigger a new code.
Codes expire after a short time. If yours no longer works, restart the account setup from the Shopify App Store and a new code will be sent.
If you connected to the wrong organisation, you can disconnect the integration from the Dream MRP Integrations page and reinstall from Shopify to start the flow again.
Dream MRP requests write access to inventory so it can update stock levels when purchase orders are fulfilled. Orders and products are read-only.
Yes. You can connect multiple Shopify stores to a single Dream MRP organisation, or have each store in its own organisation. Repeat the install process from the App Store for each additional store.
Dream MRP searches all organisations across all regions for your email. If you see an unexpected match, it's possible a colleague used the same email address to create an account. Contact support if you're unsure.
