Getting started
with Xero.

Connect your Xero organisation to Dream MRP in a few clicks. Your data flows in automatically and you'll be running MRP within minutes.

prerequisite / before you start
What you'll need

Before connecting, make sure you have:

  • An active Xero account with administrator access
  • Inventory tracking enabled in Xero
  • Items configured in Xero with appropriate codes
  • A Dream MRP account — sign up free
step_01 / initiate
Add an organisation

From your Dream MRP account, click "Add an Organisation" and select Xero as your provider.

step_02 / authorise
Authorise access

You'll be redirected to Xero to authorise Dream MRP. Sign in and grant the requested permissions — inventory, contacts, purchase and sales orders.

step_03 / select
Select organisation

If you have multiple Xero organisations, select which one to connect. Each organisation has its own Dream MRP plan and data.

step_04 / sync
Initial sync

Dream MRP syncs your inventory items, purchase orders, sales orders, and contacts automatically. This takes a few minutes for large datasets.

Once connected, Dream MRP starts in Read-Only mode by default. Run the full MRP calculation and review the plan before enabling live order posting.

Next steps

  • Import or build your Bills of Materials for manufactured items
  • Set lead times and minimum stock levels for key components
  • Configure preferred suppliers per item
  • Run your first MRP calculation in Read-Only mode
  • Review planned orders, then switch to live mode
